Alda Ægisdóttir

Alda Ægisdóttir, born 1999, is an Icelandic visual artist and filmmaker. She work with sculpture, installation and stop-motion to create a colourful fantasy world inhabited by organic lifeforms and humanoid beings. In her work Alda explores subconscious emotions through the repeated metaphors found in myths and fairy tales.

 

Alda graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from The Iceland University of the Arts in 2024. She has held solo exhibitions, participated in group exhibitions and her two short films have won numerous awards.
